Student researchers performed a series of experiments to observe the behavior of two objects moving under a magnetic field. The charge carried by each object was measured to be 2q, where q is given as 1.602 x 10-19 (C). Object 2 had a mass of 0.006 kg and radius of 5 mm. The mass of object 1 was negligible.
Figure 1 reflects data collected from Object 2 after researchers charged it through conduction with an unknown object and observed its behavior on a flat, uniform surface.
